The guided estimate uses service-specific starting ranges informed by published Ottawa and Canadian market references and the existing Solidarity production policy. There is no universal industry price for a film. The subject, capture time, editing, access and intended use all affect the final scope. Full commercial productions start at $3,000 before tax. Smaller property and aerial shoots are separate services with a narrower scope. A specialist FPV request requires personal review.
Read what is included and what changes the total
A focused shoot assumes one location and an agreed shot plan. Half-day and full-day options increase the capture allowance; additional social versions, interview setup or another nearby location can be selected where relevant. Editing-only work is estimated in hours and lessons in two-hour, one-participant sessions. Travel, unusual permissions, specialist crew, extensive revisions and licensing beyond the agreed use are assessed separately. Priority delivery is an availability request.

Year-long campaigns have a 12-month minimum. The calculator counts 12 monthly, 26 every-two-week or 52 weekly visits per year and adds setup and final-film allowances. It shows the total for the selected term, not a single visit presented as the cost of a whole year. A formal proposal confirms the schedule, payment timing, rights and rescheduling conditions. The preliminary tool does not collect a deposit or reserve dates.
Review tax and scope before booking
The online estimate shows CAD amounts before tax and an estimated Ontario HST line. Projects with a different tax treatment or location are reviewed before invoicing.
