An Ottawa base, a location-specific plan

Solidarity Drone Videos is based in Ottawa and considers projects throughout the city and surrounding area. Service coverage describes where an enquiry can begin; it is not a promise that a flight can take place at every address. Each location is reviewed for access, airspace, nearby activity and the proposed filming. Stan works directly with the site or business contact to understand the scene. A neighbourhood is useful for a preliminary estimate; a precise address is needed before planning the operation.

Central Ottawa and established neighbourhoods

Urban projects can place buildings, businesses, roads and public activity close together. A compact property shoot or commercial brief benefits from identifying the subject clearly and coordinating a realistic capture window. Ground footage may be useful alongside, or instead of, a particular aerial view. Share the address, entrances, access arrangements and any time-sensitive activity. The same review applies to nearby established communities such as Westboro and the Glebe without assuming any local site is automatically flyable.

Kanata, Stittsville, Nepean and Barrhaven

A property, business or development brief in the west and southwest may need to show the relationship between buildings, access roads and surrounding land. Construction milestones and exterior-property filming can be planned around a useful sequence rather than one generic wide shot. Tell Stan whether the site is occupied, under construction or being prepared for marketing. The production scope follows the actual property and audience; these areas are not separate office locations.

Orléans, Gloucester and the east

East-end projects can range from business premises and residences to active development sites. The brief should explain what has to be visible, the intended use and the people coordinating access. Repeat construction visits need a consistent contact and a shared view of upcoming milestones. Any nearby infrastructure or flight restrictions are assessed for the exact operation. A broad area name alone cannot settle those requirements.

Manotick, rural Ottawa and beyond

Larger properties, woodland and waterfront can make the setting central to a film. Distances, access, weather exposure and multiple capture positions may also change the time required. Share the site size and whether more than one address is involved. Travel and projects outside Ottawa, including requests in the surrounding Ontario or Québec region, are quoted after review. No branch office or unrestricted service area is implied.

What to send with a location enquiry

Include the address or map reference, your role at the property, the intended audience, an approximate date and any access constraints. A site plan or a few reference photographs can help. For lessons, include your drone model and experience. Start with the guided form or contact Stan at stan.kozniewski@hayle.ca. The practical review comes before a filming or lesson date is confirmed.
