A construction site changes faster than a single photograph can explain. Planned drone visits give owners, builders and project teams a consistent overview of what has changed, where work is happening and how the site fits into its surroundings. The aim is a useful visual record that people can understand without walking the site. For an Ottawa development, start with the milestones that matter to your audience: excavation, foundation, structural progress, enclosure, landscaping or handover. A lender update, a contractor’s marketing film and a community progress report may need different viewpoints and editing.
A useful visit starts before take-off
Share the address, the active work areas, the site contact and the date of the next milestone. Stan plans access and viewpoints around site operations, the proposed flight and the intended use of the footage. Tell us about cranes, deliveries, restricted areas and any people or neighbouring properties that need special consideration. Repeat viewpoints help comparisons, but each visit is assessed on its current conditions. We agree practical alternatives when access, weather or the site layout changes.
Choose the rhythm that serves the build
A monthly visit can give a clear overview during slower phases. Every-two-week or weekly capture can suit periods when the structure is changing quickly. A milestone visit may be more valuable than adding a routine date: concrete work or a handover event can be difficult to recreate. You can begin with a standalone visit or discuss a year-long campaign. The campaign plan separates recurring capture from setup and the final film, so the full commitment is understandable.
Use the footage beyond a status report
Selected stills can support a project presentation while an edited update gives your team something concise to share. A consistent archive also provides material for a later project story. Agree the aspect ratios, on-screen labels and approvals at the start so that each delivery is easy to use. This service provides visual documentation and filmmaking. Survey-grade mapping, engineering measurements and technical inspection conclusions require a separately qualified scope.
BEFORE YOU BEGIN
A few useful answers.
How do I begin?+
Send the location, your goal and a preferred date through the project form. You can review a preliminary range before providing contact details. Stan confirms the practical scope personally.
Is the online estimate a confirmed booking?+
No. The range is a planning estimate. Your location, access, requirements and deliverables are reviewed before a final proposal and booking.
