SHAPE THE SCOPE

What we plan together.

01

A location and flight-feasibility review

02

A shot list shaped around your story

03

Selected aerial photographs and/or an edited sequence

04

Web, presentation and social formats agreed in the proposal

Show the relationship between a place and its setting

Aerial filming is useful when the surroundings are part of the story. It can show the scale of a building, the layout of a property, the setting of a business or the progress of a construction site. A considered sequence connects the wide establishing view with the details your audience needs to notice. For Ottawa businesses and property teams, that may mean explaining access, showing a landscape or introducing a development. The camera plan follows the message rather than collecting unrelated flyovers.

Build a shot list around the final use

Tell Stan where the footage will appear and who will watch it. A website banner, a landscape presentation film and a vertical social edit frame the same location differently. Agree the subject, the desired length, any on-screen information and whether ground footage would help connect the aerial views. The preliminary form gives a starting range for a focused shoot, half day or full day. The final scope confirms how much can realistically be captured at the selected location.

Review the exact Ottawa location

A general neighbourhood is enough to begin an enquiry, but the actual address is needed for planning. Airspace, nearby activity, land access and the proposed operation all matter. A property owner’s permission and the requirements for a flight are separate parts of that review. Allow flexibility for conditions. Wind, precipitation, visibility and the scene itself can affect both safe operation and the visual result. Stan discusses suitable alternatives before the shoot is confirmed.

Receive footage you can put to work

Choose the delivery around the job it needs to do: edited stills for a presentation, a concise video for a page, or a finished film with agreed versions. Editing, music, captions, revision rounds and usage rights should be named in the proposal. If you need existing footage edited alongside new aerial material, share it early with permission to use it. That makes it easier to keep the finished piece visually consistent.

BEFORE YOU BEGIN

A few useful answers.

How do I begin?+

Send the location, your goal and a preferred date through the project form. You can review a preliminary range before providing contact details. Stan confirms the practical scope personally.

Is the online estimate a confirmed booking?+

No. The range is a planning estimate. Your location, access, requirements and deliverables are reviewed before a final proposal and booking.
