Plan the whole story before the site changes Understand visits, term and delivery Keep each delivery useful Finish with a film that explains the changePlan the whole story before the site changes
A year-long campaign connects the first condition of a site with the finished place. Starting early gives the final film a meaningful beginning and allows the camera plan to follow the construction programme. For a multi-unit development or commercial project, the brief should identify both the people who need progress information and the audience who will watch the completed story. Stan works with your site contact to identify useful viewpoints, major milestones and practical access arrangements. The plan is a working production brief, updated as the build evolves.
Understand visits, term and delivery
The preliminary calculator shows the whole campaign term: monthly is modelled as 12 visits per year, every two weeks as 26, and weekly as 52. Setup and the final film appear as separate allowances. The minimum term is 12 months. A final proposal defines dates, deliverables, rescheduling and the billing schedule. The total is not a promise that every visit can fly on its planned day. Site access, weather and operational requirements are reviewed for each capture window.
Keep each delivery useful
A long archive is most valuable when it can be found and understood. Agree project names, dates and the viewpoints that need to be repeated. Decide whether the team needs stills, short progress edits or both, and name the person who can approve information before it is shared. Quarterly or milestone highlights can be scoped alongside the final film. Extra versions, interviews and additional sites should be listed in the proposal rather than assumed to be part of every visit.
Finish with a film that explains the change
The final edit brings selected moments together with a clear beginning, progression and completed-project sequence. Plan the last shoot with care: exterior finishing, landscaping, occupancy and seasonal light can affect the result. Hayle production and editing support can be included through Stan, a Hayle partner. Before accepting a proposal, review the full CAD total, tax, payment schedule, rights, revision rounds and what happens if the construction programme moves.
BEFORE YOU BEGIN
A few useful answers.
How do I begin?+
Send the location, your goal and a preferred date through the project form. You can review a preliminary range before providing contact details. Stan confirms the practical scope personally.
Is the online estimate a confirmed booking?+
No. The range is a planning estimate. Your location, access, requirements and deliverables are reviewed before a final proposal and booking.
